Golden nuggets

I took a counseling class as a part of my Young Life training this past January. It was an unbelievable class, and I learned so much. Then got back to Dallas and the craziness of the semester of ministry jumped on me and I didnt allow myself to really reflect on the class, and the things I learned.

This morning I've gotten the chance to sit and work on some of my assignments for the class, Ive been able to reflect. Here are some things that stood out to me. I hope that they bless you today like they have blessed me...

“Being heard is so close to being loved that for the average person, they are almost indistinguishable”
–David Augsburger

The truth will set you free- Jesus
We never have to be afraid of truth. because of our relationship with Christ
“The truth will set you free, but first it will make you very mad” -Earl Palmer

We all become Christians at the foot of the Cross and then spend the rest of our lives saying, is it true. –Dietrich Bonhoeffer

This is not about bringing up the past just to bring it up, but we should be interested in the PAST THAT IS STILL THE PRESENT IN OUR LIVES.

“Life can only be understood backwards but it must be lived forward”

Listening is telling people: your story matters.
