I got a message from my mom on thursday. In her message she told me how much fun she was having in Maine. I thought to myself, did she just say Maine?? Yep. she sure did. I gave her a call later that evening and found out my mom took an impromptu road trip to Maine. Who did she go with? Oh herself. Was she having the best time ever? Why yes she was.

I said: Mom, arent you lonely all by yourself? She said: Not one bit.

HA. only my mother. She drove 10 hours (ONE WAY!) by herself, staying in random hotels, eating at great restaurants and sight seeing. She had never been to Maine, had some time off work and just went. And I wonder where I get my sense of adventure?

But I've never eaten a meal out by myself, let alone take a 5 day, 10 hour road trip all alone.

Way to go Mom. gotta love Gail.
