im back from my assignment. And this is the hardest time i've had transitioning back from assignment to the "real world".
I had a fantastic assignment. Great team, great work crew kids, great property. And the ironic thing about it all is that two weeks before I left, I tried to get out of going. Oh Jesus, aren't you funny like that? (story of my life) I was overwhelmed with house stuff and my own camp trip.
Once i got to camp, i didn't give things back in Dallas a second thought. I was fully immersed in the community there and it was wonderful. What a gift.
i got to have a front row seat to kids meeting Jesus all month long. I got to love high school girls who loved Jesus and wanted to serve him.
Life at camp is simple. You live in community. You love Jesus. You love others. You serve Jesus and others. Thats it.
I think the transition is so hard because my soul knows that life like that is how life is meant to be....
My soul longs for days that are that simple. Im feeling lost back here in Texas.
Thank You Jesus for that month.
